Shrapnel damaged KC-135 arriving in to RAF Mildenhall a short time ago. A U.S. Air Force KC-135R Stratotanker tanker aircraft, covered in patch repairs, was damaged by shrapnel following an Iranian ballistic missile strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia in mid-March. The aircraft was able to conduct a self-deployment flight to RAF Mildenhall in the United Kingdom, from where it will later proceed to the United States for repairs. Pakistan has sent fighter jets and other military forces to Saudi Arabia to boost regional security under a defence pact between the two countries, known as the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement, the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced Saturday, with a number of strike fighters and support aircraft having arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in the east of the country near the Persian Gulf. This comes as Islamabad hosts talks between Iran and the United States aimed at ending the ongoing Iran War.
