Spot the difference: Badge-engineering was central to the way Rootes marketed its cars. The Hillman Vogue brochure was effectively identical to the one for the 1725cc UK Singer Vogue, with very minor text changes. Singer was, until its demise in 1970, a slightly posher Hillman.
