Deaf Sports Ireland are issuing a final call for Deaf or Hard of Hearing athletes who would be considered to be of a competitive standard to compete at next year's European Deaf Youth Games. Athletes should be aged between 14 and 18 years old (born between 2008 and 2012) who have at a minimum bilateral hearing loss of 55 Decibels and already competing at affiliated clubs. The first study of its kind, the report highlights major gaps in Ireland’s swimming facilities - from access and lessons to ageing pools and sustainability.
