The new movie’s sole focus is Aang and aang alone…all the gaang is in it are ‘aang’s friends’ mainly cause it focuses on aang’s grief…y’all just yap on this app cause Katara’s first scene is her as a council member addressing republic city 😭😭😭

Thing is I’d have loved kataang if it was well written, I love aang sm I think he represents hope and sunshine; I see this working with katara if the writers would’ve made it make sense. Now in the new movie katara’s character is just there to motivate Aang 1/2

i’m glad people are starting to notice that some people in this fandom won’t be satisfied unless katara and aang are depicted being fundamentally incompatible to have proof that their lifelong relationship was unjustified to validate a shipping preference or superficial dislike

katara is genuinely damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t when it comes to aang. if katara supports aang, they’ll say she’s mothering him and that she’s been reduced to his trophy wife. if katara disagrees with aang, they’ll say that she’s being mistreated.
