The original Thirteenth Amendment, the Titles of Nobility Amendment, was ratified in 1819, with the final vote being Virginia. The Bar Associations are private guilds of merchant attorneys created by and under the control of the Inns of Court in London, which are unincorporated secret societies known as the Inner Temple, Middle Temple, Lincoln's Inn, and Gray's Inn.
