Retired 4-star admiral and former Navy SEAL William H. McRaven—the man who oversaw the mission that killed Osama bin Laden—delivered a blistering assessment of President Donald Trump. McRaven’s comments stood out not just for how direct they were, but for who they came from: a highly respected military leader warning about leadership, unity, and America’s standing in the world.

View from the San Diego airport at 6:30 this morning. It doesn’t have to be like this. I have a bill to pay TSA workers, Coast Guard and emergency management without adding more to ICE and Border Patrol. Easy, right? But Trump won’t allow it. As the DHS shutdown drags into nearly 40 days, federal workers and travelers shouldn’t have to suffer from Republican inaction.

God help us. This is disgraceful language coming from a Christian, or anyone with a soul. It was just as wrong to celebrate the death of Charlie Kirk as it is to celebrate that of Robert Mueller. May they rest in peace. And may we never forget that Jesus's message is about mercy.

Predictable really. Trump is the worst person in the history of the United States of America. Period.

The SAVE Act is standing in the way of real progress.   This week, Congress passed a bill that would turn innovations from San Diego into businesses. But, Trump is refusing to sign it unless his so-called SAVE Act is passed—a bill designed to make it harder for people to vote.   We can’t let partisan politics derail real results. I’ll keep fighting for legislation that actually delivers for San Diegans.
