The Supreme Court has systematically gutted the most important piece of civil rights legislation ever passed. Make no mistake – it will have catastrophic impacts on Black representation in Congress. We need to keep fighting for legislation that restores the Voting Rights Act.

Unbelievable — Trump paved the way for huge companies to avoid paying $40 billion in taxes. How far could that have gone towards lowering costs?

I’m glad to see a judge temporarily block the $1.8 billion slush fund. We’re going to fight this every step of the way – in the courts and in keeping up the pressure on my Republican colleagues. We cannot let Trump steal these tax dollars.

Trump doesn’t give a hoot about Americans who are struggling under the weight of his failing policies. Even if this war of choice is nearing its end, we’ll all be stuck paying for it for years to come.

I’m thinking of all those killed and injured in the bus crash in Stafford County overnight. Our hearts are with those grieving, and I’m wishing for a quick recovery for the many injured in this terrible tragedy.

Trump is more focused on his 80th birthday UFC fight than he is on ending the war in Iran.

Even before the full force of Trump’s Medicaid cuts, almost 2 million kids lost Medicaid coverage this year. It’s only going to get worse. We need to move towards universal health care so we can stop these painful coverage gaps.

Inflation is soaring. Gas is at its highest level in years. Grocery costs are rising. Yet President Trump couldn’t care less. He's too focused on yet another one of his vanity projects that deliver nothing for the American people.

While Americans are being crushed by rising prices, Trump is brainstorming new ways to stoke his ego. Maybe if he were more focused on lowering costs for working families, they wouldn’t need a new $250 bill to afford necessities.

As Americans struggle with the rising cost of gas, groceries, housing, and health care, President Trump’s priorities for taxpayer dollars are completely detached from the challenges families face every day: a gold-plated ballroom; a monument blocking Arlington National Cemetery; renaming buildings and airports after himself; rewards for allies who attacked the Capitol on January 6; a passport bearing his image; ...and now, apparently, even a proposal for a $250 bill with his face on it. If this White House put even half as much energy into working to lower costs as it does into stoking the president’s ego, American families wouldn’t need that new $250 bill just to fill up their gas tanks.

Trump has stolen $1.8 billion of your tax dollars to pay the people that assaulted cops on Jan. 6. It’s a horrible use of your tax money, and it’s just plain wrong. We’re not going to back down on fighting against this.
