Counter point: Imagine being an American child. You’re born in the richest country in human history. Your odds of dying in a school shooting are lower than dying from a bee sting. Your daycare worker is overwhelmingly likely to love you. College is a choice, not a requirement. The kid down the street skipped it and makes $140K welding pipe. The plumber who fixed your sink last week owns three houses. You live somewhere people risk their lives to get INTO, not out of. You have running water, A/C, instant access to all human knowledge, and a fridge full of food your ancestors would have considered a miracle. Just a gentle reminder that the only people telling you you’re miserable are the ones who profit from your misery ❤️

🚨When I thought for 12 years (12-24) that I had a boy brain in a girl body and needed to ‘pass’ as a man to be happy, I was not capable of understanding how badly I would get injured by being 🏳️‍⚧️trans. Binding large breasts during a decade of one’s development is a really bad idea. And like most bad ideas, if you’re a teenager, you’ll probably think it’s “no big deal.” This is especially so when everyone on the internet tells you that breast binding is totally safe and reversible. Those people are LIARS. Not even losing 40 + pounds has taken that lasting pain away. It’s bittersweet to see the fat I was hiding under melt away. Sweet, because I look objectively better now. Bitter, because it makes the damage I’ve done to myself more evident. Many layers of shapewear can hide the aesthetic damage, which is.. whatever. It’s a lost cause at this point. But the pain in my back and the tingly, hot/cold sensations that become numbness in my left arm have only gotten progressively worse since I’ve stopped binding. While binding, my left arm would only go numb occasionally. Now, even with dramatic weight loss and the passage of time, the (presumably) nerve pain is more persistent. It has become a daily occurrence. It is inconvenient to have your arm go numb this often and I wish it would stop. I’d like to regain the ability to stand up straight and to lie down on my side without my ribs hurting or feeling that my rib bones are hooking onto whatever is underneath me or to the side of me. I would like my old lung capacity back. I don’t have sensation in my chest except for pain and irritation. I do hope that goes away. I’m not sure what my next steps are. Anyone have any ideas? There is nothing safe or reversible about binding your breasts in the long term, especially starting as a teenager. REPOST to raise awareness.

The path of least resistance to reducing the cost of medical care is to require all Non Profit Hospitals and providere to be required to post on their website a Real Time and downloadable General Ledger with all entries The same for all supply chain transactions In detail There is no reason why taxpayers shouldn't see every penny they are subsidizing None There are no competitive reasons we don't subsizie you to maximize revenues or profits We let you be NP to maximize outcomes and we deserve to see every penny and where it comes from and where it goes, and why Problem solved

Austin isn't the only city facing wasteful spending. Our friends in Dallas are dealing with a campaign to demo City Hall and rebuild it. The first questions to ask: How will this benefit the taxpayers? How will this make the city council more effective and improve governance?
Cara Mendelsohn 🟦@caraathome

Who Is Driving the City Hall Debate? by Cara Mendelsohn Former Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings is once again attempting to position himself at the center of Dallas politics, this time with a campaign to demolish City Hall. It is fair to ask why a former mayor, who already had eight years to shape Downtown Dallas, now believes he should continue directing the city’s future through newspaper ads, social media campaigns, websites, and coordinated pressure aimed at influencing the current City Council. Dallas voters elected a City Council to make decisions. Thousands of residents have expressed support for preserving City Hall, yet a small group of influential insiders continues acting as though their voices should outweigh those of the people who actually live here, pay taxes here, and vote here. Mr. Rawlings recently said, “we have got to force a change on this.” That statement captures the problem perfectly. Who exactly is “we” and who gave anyone the authority to “force” a change on Dallas residents? Is the campaign’s intent to provide political cover for councilmembers willing to support the demolition of City Hall? This is not how democracy is supposed to work. If residents want to preserve City Hall, modernize it, or redevelop Downtown while retaining the building, they deserve the opportunity to make that determination through a transparent public process, potentially including a citywide vote. What they shouldn’t face is a top-down campaign orchestrated by former officials, powerful organizations, and business interests attempting to predetermine the outcome before the public has complete information. The public still has not received a fully transparent comparison between renovation, modernization, adaptive reuse, and demolition with replacement costs. Assertions continue to be repeated as fact without complete engineering analysis, clearly defined scopes, or reliable lifecycle comparisons. Dallas taxpayers are being asked to accept sweeping conclusions while major questions remain unanswered. City Hall is not just another office building. It is a functioning civic asset with hardened infrastructure, redundant utilities, complete emergency operations, and decades of taxpayer investment already embedded into the structure. It is also one of the most recognizable civic buildings in Dallas and an internationally known work of architect I.M. Pei. Most importantly, redevelopment and preservation are not mutually exclusive. Dallas can revitalize Downtown while preserving City Hall. Great cities around the world successfully integrate historic civic architecture into thriving redevelopment districts. Demolishing a landmark civic building should not become the default, simply because influential voices prefer a different vision. What is especially troubling is the increasingly aggressive effort to pressure councilmembers through campaigns backed by organizations with enormous political and financial influence. Some councilmembers appear more interested in impressing wealthy power brokers than representing their constituents. That is disappointing, but it also explains why many residents feel disconnected from decisions being made about their city. The future should not be decided by noted voices of the past with a marketing campaign. Dallas residents deserve transparency, facts, and open public debate by currently elected officials, not a campaign to “force” an outcome desired by special interests. If demolition of City Hall is the right path, simply present all the numbers, all the options, and all the tradeoffs, and let the people decide.

The mayor of Charlotte, NC asks that we not post about this lady murdered on a Charlotte train by a repeat offender with 14 prior arrests! I say in Iryna’s memory please share and make this go viral! A repeat offender with 14 prior arrests should not be roaming the streets of ANY city! They should be locked up!! Epic failure in the justice system!

🚨 JUST IN: LA mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt announces Los Angeles criminals and homeless degenerates will have 2-3 WEEKS after he gets into office before MASS ARRESTS ensue "First 3 weeks: signups, no nakedness, no drug use, no robbing, no dog abuse." Love this guy MORE AND MORE daily! 🔥 "THEN? Streets will be BACK!" "People are just living in feces and drug use and dogs burning!" "We need these streets cleaned." "We're going to go around, we're going to warn everybody, hey, get three more weeks of this, clocks ticking, just keep telling everyone, so the people that are aware, they're like, oh, wow, there's a new mayor in town, they may start leaving!" "And then when the three weeks, or maybe we'll even do two weeks, maybe people will want it faster." "You know how else I'm going to bring in? The CDC, because there's medieval diseases in these encampments. They're not swabbing these encampments, they're not swabbing the streets!" Make it happen! @spencerpratt 👏🏻 h/t @theallinpod

Let me get this straight… A man was being publicly destroyed by the entire political establishment. His character was being shredded on national television. Every bully in Washington was telling him to quit. And his response? "I'd rather die than withdraw from the process." "I will not be scared. I don't like bullies. I've never run from bullies. I never cry uncle, and I'm not gonna cry uncle today." That was 1991. Senate confirmation hearings. Anita Hill allegations. The full weight of the media and the political machine aimed at one man. And he didn't flinch. Not for the seat. Not for the title. But because he refused to let bullies win. 35 years later, Clarence Thomas is still on the Supreme Court. The bullies are still mad about it. i'm not here to make you comfortable i'm here to make you informed.. follow if you want the real story.

I have never encountered a movement (Transgenderism) that has spread so swiftly and successfully and has so fiercely rejected any challenge to its orthodoxy. The only thing more extraordinary than the rapid spread of this new orthodoxy is how little scrutiny it has faced, and the aggressive intolerance directed towards those who question it.
