A Sikh MP in India says he has provided ~50,000 asylum letters in exchange for 35,000 rupees apiece. That's 500 CAD for a total of 25 million CAD. The fee to the traffickers is stated as 43-57K CAD. That's a total of ~2.15 to 2.85 billion CAD.

I spoke at a conference in Vancouver yesterday, when asked for my thoughts on Canada's Sovereign Debt fund, I provided an answer and halfway through I was cut off by the moderator and asked to stop as we as a group were "over our time limit." BUT he then went on to my colleague beside me who was allowed plenty of time for his glowing recommendation on Carney, their positive view of the fund and prospects for huge economic growth. How can we make progress if we are too afraid to address our shortcomings?

26,112 out of a voting population of roughly 28,000 in Innisfail, Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House, Rimbey and Sundre signed the petition for Alberta Independence referendum. That’s about 92.9% eligible voters signed the petition on those five towns alone. Onwards!

The Edmonton Police were called on our TCP event. This is a public meeting. Nothing to see here. The Edmonton Police were respectful and courteus - they left after finding no issues with our event. I don't know why they were here. Who called the cops?
