i think all of the knives morality discourse would stop and we could frolic happily in the fields hand in hand if ppl stopped undervaluing the fact he does go thru a character arc despite being the work’s primary antagonist

"go to hell” is basic. “i hope one of your favorite manga gets announced a 'truthful adaptation' only to end up with a poorly paced retelling where the characters are turned into shallow versions of themselves and the themes are lost” is smart. it's possible. it's terrifying.
