Helping the NHS build sustainable quality, service improvement & redesign capability. We're part of NHSE&I's Improvement Capability Building & Delivery team.

Our Micro team have been training up colleagues from Haematology and Histology to run in-house COVID-19 testing. At times like this traditional clinical boundaries become irrelevant. #Pathology #Innovation #NHSheroes #microbiology #STEM

Huge thanks to our Digital Team working hard behind the scenes to keep the cogs turning for our clinical front line. For change to be successful and sustainable we need the right environment. In these truly unique and difficult times remember to count the positives #thankyou 👏

When all this is over is everyone thinking about what the #NewNormal will be? Stop trekking all over for meetings Cut bureaucracy Which roles are really needed??? What do we really need from staff? Can we have a much leaner #nhs I hope so.

2 emails from friends overnight saying the same thing, one a GP and local NHS leader and the other a clinical academic. They say they’ve achieve more progress in their work in the last 6 days than in the previous 6 months. People are making things happen and barriers are removed

So easy to overestimate what we will remember in 4 months time. Taking a little bit of time to attend to good “hibernation” of QI programmes will make all the difference when time to get them up and running again. Thanks to @SimonWMedic for raising importance of this. @online_his
