I had the distinct honor of spending time with President Kast of Chile and U.S. Ambassador Judd during Shield of the Americas summit in Miami to discuss EnergyX’s Black Giant lithium project. @energyx plans to invest $1.1 billion into Chile to build Black Giant’s 50,000 ton lithium plant over the next few years, and up to $5 billion over the next 10 years to build Litio Mecca, a 500,000 ton mega lithium refinery near the Port of Mejillones, Chile, which will not only process lithium from Project Black Giant and other Chile locations, but also potentially from salars across Argentina and Bolivia too. President Kast is going to do great things for Chile, and EnergyX couldn’t be happier to be partnering with his great country and further strengthening the bi-lateral relationship between America and Chile.

With U.S. EXIM Bank considering $690M in financing and growing U.S.–Chile cooperation on critical minerals, this meeting signals strong momentum for next-generation lithium production.

EnergyX already holds 100,000+ acres of concessions in Chile and has demonstrated up to 96% lithium recovery in pilot plants, significantly outperforming traditional evaporation methods.
