What if the Second Coming happens and Jesus turns out to be a woke pacifist liberal with socialist leanings who says that this war against Islam stuff has got to stop? What will Peter Hegseth and Mike Huckabee do then? And he says 'Love thy neighbour' includes Palestinians?

I’m greatly encouraged by the thought that some key figures in the US government think that this war is going to bring about Armageddon, the Second Coming and the Rapture.

Cat check: The 12,000 figure is from 2023 data for arrests under the Communications Act 2003 and the Malicious Communications Act 1988. These laws cover sending messages that are "grossly offensive, threatening, indecent, or menacing over communications networks" - so arrests include people sending threatening text messages, harassing stalking victims with malicious phone calls, unsolicited pornographic images etc. The suggestion that it's an attack on "free speech" is nonsense.

Societies have to balance freedoms. In the UK we banned most guns following the horrific murder of a class of school children in 1996. Collectively we decided that curtailing the rights of gun owners in order to make children safer was the correct balance of freedoms. We haven't had a similar incident since.
