A principal reason Tucker is so upset is that he vastly overestimated his power in the administration. This is a guy who helped get Vance the job & to hire his son & visits the White House but at the end of the day Tucker discovered that Trump doesn’t give a shit what he says.

If this is true it's a very interesting move to call Trump's bluff. Iran is trying to make the cost of his decision so morally high that it becomes a line that if he crosses there's no coming back from. i.e. "Are you prepared to directly kill all the youth?" It's diabolical.
