Dylan does things on Blood on the Tracks that are basically without peer when it comes to songwriting. Tangled Up in Blue is basically an entire epic novel in less than 6 minutes. The lives you glimpse clearly intersect, but also might separated by centuries. GOATed stuff.

My working definition of story. We really tend to over-complicate this in our screenwriting. Honestly, we tend to overcomplicate everything. Keep it simple. Know your story. Identify it. If you do that, you make everything 100x easier.

Screenwriting and storytelling are not reality. They're hyper-reality. We don't want reality in our entertainment. We want what rings true and what makes us feel. Realism is never a goal in itself. Emotional truth is.

These jewel-like curiosities are toothworts (genus Lathraea) from around the world. They lack leaves and chlorophyll, and steal their food from the roots of forest trees. If you want to sell your screenplay, don't write 100 pages and then try to condense it into a logline. Write a fantastic logline, and expand it out to 100 pages instead. That process alone will significantly improve your odds of success.
