I became a permanent host bc Stacey (Derek’s good friend) endorsed it and said I needed to be, so I listened. He felt like a friend you watched the games with long before I ever knew him personally and getting to know him only made me appreciate him more.

“Too big, too strong, too fast, too good.” “Gimme the hot sauce.” “Did you not get the memo?” These all became ingrained into all of our memories as Bulls fans. Years later, @YoungJordan talked me into being a guest on the Nothing But Bull podcast.

as a member of the Bulls dynasty, then as the voice of Bulls basketball for generations of fans. We all have memories tied to him. For me, it’s memories with my family watching Bulls games and repeating his calls for years afterward.

I can’t imagine watching a Bulls game w/o Stacey King on the call. I always said the only drawback of going to the UC was not getting to hear him on TV. For so many of us, he was part of growing up -
