We are banning social media access for under 16s. These days kids must find their feet in a world where technology intrudes into every area of their life. I just can’t let that go on anymore. So we’re giving children their childhoods back.

Orbit is the one of the first social media apps for Under 16. There is several precautions we’re taking such as to keep children safe from harm such as ai training that will detect grooming etc. Rather than fully banning social media, why don’t we make a safe alternative?

@BasilTheGreat That's exactly the problem Orbit aims to solve. Less scrolling. More communities, clubs, events and connections. We will have tight moderation restrictions and parents would be able to control their kids. @Orbitsocially

Even more reason to block it !!! A child being on their phone for 9 hours and she can’t think of anything else to do but stare at a wall. No wonder obesity is on the rise in children.
