.@ArturKacprzyk at the @PISM_Poland #StrategicArk on the Future of Nuclear Deterrence in Europe: Since the US remains indispensable for Europe with regards to nuclear deterrence, the Europeans should act in order to supplement it with its own capabilities. Also, I fail to see how France could play a leading role in the nuclear deterrence in Europe without unambiguously saying whether it would use all means at its disposal should need be.

At #StrategicArk @RLHeinrichs One particular lesson, which China is taking from Russian invasion of Ukraine is that the West can be coerced to a particular behaviour by a threat of nuclear escalation. This is why the U.S. needs a sea-based cruise missile with a nuclear option, a nuclear gravity bomb and a ground-based standoff nuclear missile which would comprise a “in-theatre triad”. @PISM_Poland
