@BehavingBeardly Im a teacher (granted in an international school not in the UK) and I don't give homework. Some parents ask why and I pretty much give the reason you are saying here. Kids need time to be kids. If we don't get what we need done in class that's on me as the teacher.

Can we just cancel homework?! We don't live in a world where a household can live comfortably on one income anymore and parents/carers are often like passing ships in the night with work. The time you get together as a family is rare and valuable so quite frankly, we don't need to spend that time doing homework that often feels like it is handed out for the pure sake of it... I doubt any parents and most teachers would disagree? It feels like a forced, outdated, practice that just annoys all parties involved 😅
