AIPAC was founded in 1954 partly to counter negative international reactions to Israel's Qibya massacre of Palestinian villagers that year.

An Israeli analyst confirms accounts of Palestinians being raped and sexually assaulted using dogs at Israeli detention sites, citing two guards he spoke with at Sde Teiman torture prison. “One had witnessed it and said it was too awful to describe. The other said he had heard about it from others and believed it was true.” Ben-Ephraim shares documented cases by various human rights groups below. “This happened. This is still happening. More than 54 healthcare workers are among over 1,400 people killed by Israeli attacks in Lebanon during the current invasion. On March 9, Lebanese Red Cross paramedic Youssef Assaf was killed by an Israeli airstrike while conducting a rescue mission in Majdal Zoun, southern Lebanon, despite ambulances sharing coordinates through UN channels. Lebanese officials and rights organizations point to a pattern: 10 health workers were killed within just 24 hours during Israeli attacks on March 28–29, prompting Lebanon’s health ministry to begin filing a complaint to the UN Security Council. This isn’t new. Human Rights Watch documented 3 separate attacks in 2024 targeting medical sites, including an ambulance, a hospital, and paramedics, killing 14 first responders, describing them as war crimes. Lebanese Red Cross dispatch centers now handle around 1,500 emergency calls daily.
