After my Diploma, I got 2 offers to further studies in UK; Uni of Sheffield and Newcastle Uni.
Uni of Sheffield came to Malaysia for offer holders' open day. I was sitting next to an elderly couple who came with their daughter.

2012: Graduated MSc in UK
2015: PhD attachment in USA
2018: Graduated PhD
2023: Graduated Postdoctorate study. (Conference in Japan).
All of them were On Time.
Got scholarship every time.

1. Never, ever compare yourself/your kid to others out there.
“Comparing” has been something that I struggle with since my school years, mainly because we keep competing with friends for no 1 and whatnots.
