Autism acceptance day I usually have a string of tweets about the de-stigmatization of the “disorder” and its spectrum, but I’m losing faith in posting on this platform and engaging in this miserable social culture Fight for the ADA, Public Health Services & our schools ♾️

Jeff Stoutland is the best teacher in the NFL that just happens to have an expertise in trench play. I hope he hasn’t run his final OL or blitz meeting.

There is absolutely no one I credit more with the career I had than Jeff Stoutland. The consistent passion and his eagerness to teach pushed my teammates, me, and our room to amazing success. More importantly, we became incredibly close as people. It was more than just coaching and teaching, it was his presence and sense of urgency that was unaccepting of mediocrity and potential left behind. He will undoubtedly be missed inside the building, and everyone that played for him. I am incredible grateful to have played for Stout, 1 of 1 coach and person. I love you coach.

Philadelphia, I’ve decided my time coaching with the Eagles has come to an end. When I arrived here in 2013, I did not know what I was signing up for. I quickly learned what this city demands. But more importantly, what it gives back. The past 13 years have been the great privilege of my coaching career. I didn’t just work here, I became one of you. Stout out

“I love Jalen Hurts. I love everything that he brings to the table. Every time you step on the field, you feel very confident that you can win any game that you're going to play when you have him as your quarterback. He has shown that to this organization, to myself, to Howie, to the city, that he's a winner and he is able to do many different things at a very high level.” — Nick Sirianni

Jeff reports here that Sirianni was almost fired at the end of the 2023 season and during the bye of the 2024 season (when the Eagles were 2-2). He notes Lurie has been increasingly impatient with his coaches relative to earlier in his tenure

CJ Stroud is playing exactly the opposite of how you’d like a QB to play with an elite defense. Just protect the ball at all costs. Don’t let their defense score/give the offense short fields. Bemusing stuff.

We’re going to be talking about CJ Stroud’s rookie season like Josh Gordon in 2013.

Let someone else find Josh Allen’s ceiling. We can find someone else who runs quarters.

If Jalen Hurts did what Josh Allen just did they’d be talking about it until next season

Losing to Bo Nix with Josh Allen is a fireable offense no matter what happens. I’d resign

Watching Josh Allen and Bo Nix today has been instructive to me, having spent all went hearing that Jalen Hurts is the only QB who ever is less than perfect.

For whatever reason, Sean Payton hasn’t used designed QB runs, Bo Nix hasn’t looked to scramble, and Denver hasn’t generated any movement up front. Credit Buffalo’s front for bowing up after halftime, but Denver lack of ground game and clock control has been confusing.

I’m going to make one post about the offense because I really have said everything I’ve wanted to say on it throughout the season. I don’t want to beat a dead horse by just repeating everything again. If I’m the Eagles decision makers, I’m not even allowing any OC candidate to be interviewed unless there’s proven evidence of a competent system that gives the offense outs within the formation based on the front/coverage presentation. This is stuff that’s completely outside of the players on the field, so I’m not saying any players should be free of criticism here, but the 2025 Eagles offense may have ran more plays into shit looks than any I’ve followed in years. I saw way too many elementary, minimally effective route conversions, minimal utilization of formations/alignments/movements to manufacture separation and/or create throwing windows, and minimal use of scaffolding routes and sequencing calls. If you don’t have a robust system that allows you to attack what’s presented, then you absolutely need to be able to string plays together to make yourself harder to defend (see: 49ers/Bears/Rams). It got to the point where everyone who follows what they do weekly started applauding them for even doing the most basic things that resulted in a positive result (myself included). What happened this season should never happen in the NFL. Everyone is welcome to have an opinion and there’s many ways to look at it, but I focus on system and scheme above all else when I watch, so that’s the perspective I’m coming from with this. It’s not a vindication of players failing to execute when the play is there to be made.

This 4 minute breakdown of the Eagles final play from Nick Foles is the best I’ve heard & is absolutely worth a listen. The Eagles should consider offering him a job somewhere on the staff.
