Hij@b = Empowerment? Sindoor = Oppression? Think again.”
Two posts. Same platform. Same “activism.”
But the hypocrisy couldn’t be louder.
On one side, hijab is glorified as “freedom” and “empowerment”…...Even in societies where questioning it isn’t even an option.
On the other side, sindoor a symbol worn by millions of Indian women by choice, pride, and tradition is reduced to “oppression” and even compared to blood. Think about that contrast. When it comes to Sanatana traditions, suddenly everything is “patriarchy.”
But when it comes to practices elsewhere, the same voices go silent or worse, romanticize them. This isn’t feminism. This is narrative-driven selectivity.
Because real empowerment doesn’t pick and choose cultures to target. It doesn’t mock what millions hold sacred. And it certainly doesn’t twist symbols to fit an agenda.
Calling one symbol “liberation” and another “oppression”….....That’s not progress. That’s prejudice.
This double standard is exactly why people have started questioning modern feminism.
Because when feminism becomes about: ❌ Mocking one culture
❌ Ignoring real issues
❌ Pushing selective narratives …
it stops being empowerment, and starts becoming propaganda.
Feminism was never meant to be anti-men, anti-Hindu, or anti-tradition/culture. It was meant to be pro-choice. Pro-dignity. Pro-truth. Time to reclaim that.
Hello @BSEIndia why do you choose to partner with such Anti Hindu platforms??

Standing inside @BSEIndia, one thought stayed with us. What happens when women claim space in rooms where value is created? SLI Mumbai brought together founders, creators & leaders doing exactly that. Because women’s potential was never missing. It just needed the right rooms.
