‼️El fracaso de la izquierda socialdemócrata en Latinoamérica tanto política como académica Hoy se ve que, en #Chile y #Brasil, luego de sendos gobiernos de “izquierda”, se siguen manteniendo graves limitaciones reales en movilidad social y una segregación clasista evidente; aunadas a conflictos relevantes (vigentes y potenciales) donde los grupos con menores ingresos (pueblos originarios en especial) son más los afectados. Situación similar se podría trasponer a lo largo y ancho de #Latinoamérica, donde iniciativas transformadoras terminaron siendo copadas o “infectadas” por la “izquierda socialdemócrata” anulándolas e inclusive terminando en procesos penales en vez de procesos históricos. Y los prolegómenos de esta situación, es que sus propuestas y modelos de conducta, provienen de una academia politológica mainstream que sigue esa línea: comparatistas institucionales, analistas de partidos, etc. Y opera dentro de un marco que privilegia categorías y criterios eurocéntricos de “buena democracia” y “desarrollo”. Donde valoran modelos reformistas, gradualistas, institucionalistas y de economía de mercado corregida con políticas sociales (fiel copia de la Europa occidental de los años 50-70). En ese esquema, la “buena” izquierda es la que se parece más a la #socialdemocracia europea. Las ciencias sociales latinoamericanas (especialmente la ciencia política comparada) importan categorías europeas como si fueran universales: “democracia representativa estable”, “Estado de bienestar”, “institucionalización”, “crecimiento con equidad”, “socialdemocracia” como sinónimo de madurez y “éxito”. Y ese “éxito” será medido cuánto el proceso analizado se acerque esos estándares europeos. En ese ínterin, se invisibiliza o se patologiza todo lo que no encaja: partidos políticos con propuestas de transformación real, democracia directa, refundación constitucional, intentos de soberanía energética/alimentaria, o la promoción de la minería con soberanía (Típico grupo socialdemócrata es “anti minero” o “verde”). Estos académicos y políticos asumen que el “desarrollo” y la “modernidad” solo tienen una vía deseable (la europea reformista), y no se cuestiona suficientemente si esa vía es replicable o deseable en contextos de colinealidad del poder, dependencia estructural y diversidad étnico-cultural profunda. Con el agregado que los estados europeos mantenían relaciones ultra verticales con países del #Africa, #Asia y #Oceanía, donde estaban precisamente los yacimientos que les permitía vivir como viven. El eurocentrismo en el pensamiento social latinoamericano no es solo un “sesgo” sino una forma de colonialidad del saber. Y ello se transmite también a los arquetipos del líder: Mientras menos “indio” o “negro” sea, mejor, (ello incluye donde estudió) al margen de sus discursos por más “radicales” que sean. La socialdemocracia en sus diversas formas ha fracasado y se prevé que fracasará. La ruta es otra, una que busque pragmáticamente soluciones en función a las características latinoamericanas, con los recursos que efectivamente se tiene, nuestra ubicación en un planeta multipolar y nuestra rica historia.
