The most underrated Excel skill nobody teaches you: IFERROR wrapped around VLOOKUP. Without it: your whole report breaks on one missing value. With it: you control what the error shows, or hide it entirely. One formula. Cleaner reports. Less panic before donor deadlines. #Dat

There is something oddly satisfying about knowing there is an all-powerful Excel function like XLOOKUP and not using because I've gotten by for so long without it. Today, I decided it was time to give it a try. What a time-saver! I may never go back to VLOOKUP.

5 Excel lookup functions, ranked by usefulness: XLOOKUP — the one you actually need. replaces almost everything else. start here. INDEX / MATCH — older combo, but interviewers still love asking about it. know it. VLOOKUP — outdated. don’t build on it, just know it exists. MATCH — finds position, not values. useful solo sometimes. HLOOKUP — horizontal lookup. rarely comes up in real work. Start with XLOOKUP. Master it and move on

I just discovered a standard practice for the use of excel and that is to always Align Data Logically - Right align numbers and dates, left align text. Simple things like this I believe makes the difference.

If you’re new to Excel, start with this: =SUM(A1:A10) It helps you quickly calculate totals. Every data analyst started with this.

Took me way too long to learn this 😅 Instead of filtering data manually… just press: → Alt + D + F + F Instant filter on every column. Small shortcuts = big time saved ⚡ What’s your go-to Excel shortcut?
