Why is hard for ugandan traders online to attach prices to what they are selling? When you ask “How Much” they reply “DM” whats the science there?🤔

I have just met Samuel & Elijah’s mum. In the heavy rains she was still selling maize. The boys are also busy on the streets. I told her to look for the boys to go rest. I capitalized her business. The boys will attend school. They will not work for long hours. A smile was born.

Apologize when you're wrong. You're too young to be losing genuine people because of pride. Stop thinking everyone is replaceable, and stop searching for quotes to defend your stupidity.

Success vs Luck: The Power of Preparation Success does not come by luck; success is prepared for and worked for. As the Luganda saying goes: “Omukisa gujjira yetegese” — fortune finds the one who is prepared. Personally, I doubt the idea of luck as many people imagine it. You cannot simply spend all day - all night in prayer asking for blessings and expect success to fall into your hands. Prayer is important, but effort and preparation must accompany it. What people often call “luck” is simply a beneficial moment meeting someone who has already prepared themselves. Because when an opportunity appears, only the prepared person is able to recognize it, seize it, and benefit from it. That is why I always tell the youth: success does not fall like rain. It is earned through commitment, discipline, and hard work. If you desire success, focus on what you are building, what you are learning, and where you are putting your effort. When preparation meets opportunity, people may call it luck — but in truth, it is the reward of preparation.

Unfortunately there will be no evidence that you really tried your best if you don't make it. The sleepless nights. The losses. The doubts. All will mean nothing if you don't win. That's why you have to make it.

There is a growing narrative, especially on social media, claiming that "education is not the key to success", that one must search for other “keys.” I strongly caution young people against this misguided thinking. Education remains a key. It may not be the only key, but it is certainly a fundamental one. It opens doors to knowledge, opportunity, innovation, and responsible leadership. Education equips individuals to make informed decisions, contribute meaningfully to society, and navigate the complexities of the modern world with confidence and integrity. Nothing replaces knowledge. No one should mislead you into believing otherwise. Yes, there are a few successful individuals with limited formal education, but how many are they? They do not even constitute 1% of Uganda’s population. Exceptional cases should not be used to misguide a generation. Sustainable success is built on knowledge, discipline, and values and education provides that foundation. I firmly debunk the narrative that education is not essential to success.

WATCH: Kawempe North MP-elect Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola returns litter to driver in Kampala traffic jam In a video from early Friday, Mr Nalukoola picked up the litter amid glowing red taillights, walked to the white SUV, and handed it back through the driver's window. The Kawempe North lawmaker earned widespread praise for showing civic responsibility amid Kampala's ongoing litter problems, which clog drains and worsen flooding. #MonitorUpdates
