the invasion of privacy is so sickening and saddening because we have always been a fandom that has been loud and proud about not supporting this behavior and shaming it. but as the fandom grows to multiple platforms, sadly so do the problems because this is encouraged elsewhere

“y’all are very dramatic, I wanted to see if you found them in the street” I’m positive there are a lot of people in this world that already saw a bts member in the street and kept their mouths shut because they’re respectful. if you can’t relate, that’s YOUR issue.

The strong dislike i have for tiktok armys and them calling not wanting bts' privacy invaded "not that deep" and "theyre famous its normal" i even saw 1 comment saying that APPARENTLY (lie) they became famous BECAUSE of armys invading their privacy in the early days??? 🤡

This is an example of why we have to be loud about ARMY culture. Our fandom name needs to come with a set of values that new people associate it with.

Some of the things you can do if you see such videos or pics on TikTok/threads/ig/wherever 1) DONT bring the clip here! 2) call them out in their comment section.. yes they delete and hide. But the message gets across 3) spread through DMs to report to hybe portal 4) post about army etiquette on your platforms.. doesn’t matter if you have a small or big account 5) do not hype those who do take videos them from afar but did not approach.. THEY STILL POSTED THE VID DIDNT THEY? It’s not about just making sure people are aware that these characters aren’t army. It’s also about getting it across that this type of behaviour is not tolerated. No grey areas are tolerated. “I didn’t bother them just saw them from afar” “they know we’re here they didn’t say anything” etc. none of this excusable.

Part of what made the dynamic between BTS and ARMY special was that we respected boundries and privacy. All we wanted was for them to be able to make the music they loved and be happy. Reporting every move they make or location they go to just breaks this mutual trust.Sad to see
