China is once again enlarging a tiny reef in the South China Sea, using a fleet of high-tech “dark dredgers” in what appears to be a renewal of its long-standing efforts to turn disputed islands into military bases. Here are satellite photos of Antelope Reef before vs. after. It's part of the Paracel Islands, and is also claimed by Vietnam and Taiwan. Since December it has increased in size by several square kilometers in a massive "industrial" campaign. At first there were two dredgers but by early February satellite photographs showed a fleet of 22 advanced “cutter suction dredgers” that slurp up sand and mud from the seabed and pump it onto the surface to create a foundation for new construction. Construction teams have built causeways connecting sections of reclaimed land and installed a concrete plant and pre-fabricated shelters for workers.

A Russian Paralympian wins gold and openly dedicates the medal to Putin, speaking about the importance of “glorifying his country.” So praising a dictator and a man responsible for thousands of deaths on the Paralympic stage is somehow apolitical. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Paralympians were told they could not wear uniforms with the map of Ukraine because it would be “too political.”

I am the Ukrainian skeleton racer who was wrongfully disqualified from the Olympics last month because of my “Memory Helmet.” Tonight in Milano-Cortina, the Paralympic Games are opening. The Committee has bizarrely permitted Russian soldier-athletes to participate under the Russian flag. The head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) literally stated that they don’t care about what Russian soldiers did in Ukraine. The problem is that we do care. They are killing Ukrainians on the battlefield, bombing our cities, and committing genocide. Now, with this step of allowing them to compete, the IPC is giving them the opportunity to continue committing genocide by spreading Russian narratives with Russian flags and symbols. They try to manipulate the situation by pointing out that the movement started after World War II, but during World War II the Olympic Games were cancelled, and German athletes were not invited and did not take part in the Games until 1952. It looks like the head of the IPC doesn’t know the history of the Olympic and Paralympic movement at all. What a shame. This whole story is just getting worse and worse.

The International Paralympic Committee has prohibited the Ukrainian Paralympic Team from wearing their national uniform due to… its inclusion of elements of the Ukrainian map within its internationally recognized borders. There is no moral low that the IPC bureaucrats would not reach. They are ready to ruin the remains of the Committee's reputation by acting against UNGA resolutions, Ukraine’s territorial integrity, and international law, only to please Russian war criminals. We urge the international community, including all countries and national Paralympic committees, to condemn the IPC's immoral actions, including their disgraceful decision to allow blood-stained Russian and Belarusian flags, and to boycott the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games. Please, take a clear stance and refuse to be part of the IPC's war crimes sportswashing!

What Chinese Distant Water Fishing Vessels are doing inside the Exclusive Economic Zones of Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Panama and other South American nations, is surely not industrial fishing. This is a well organised plunder of marine resources, funded and facilitated by the Chinese State. Chinese fishing militia is not only threatening the economies of these nations that depend heavily on the export of fisheries, they are also threatening the food security and the delicate marine biodiversity and ecology. Often clashing with the local navies and coast guards, the Chinese fishing militia has grown to become one of the greatest security risk in South America. China's Global Fishing Offenses need to be addressed.
