I interviewed a Senior Developer with 8 years of experience some weeks ago and unfortunately, he bombed the interview. Not because of technical skills. His technical skills were great! He bombed because when asked "Why do you want to leave?" he said: "the management of my current company is quite terrible + many other things." Offer? Gone. It was really unnecessary tbh. Say something like this instead: "I've learned a lot where I am. I'm now looking for a role where I can [grow in X/ lead Y/work on Z]. This opportunity feels aligned." Remember that Interviewers aren't therapists. Never vent. Always pivot. Save someone today!!
