@Cally12750 @Paralelogram777 Why would a woman understood as an extraordinary, almost metaphysical kind of beauty —something rare enough to disrupt politics, loyalty, and reason itself— look like an average woman of her time and place?

New version of Nostr VPN is out. Like tailscale, but no email addresses or 3rd party accounts, just public keys. New: * native multiplatform user interfaces * Nostr-based multihop routing (FIPS protocol) — very useful when NAT holepunching fails * improved network management UX

The biggest adoption story bitcoin has had in years.... A government using bitcoin not as a parlor trick, but because they actually NEED bitcoin. Their bank accounts get frozen. Their gold gets seized. They need something unconfiscatable, something without counterparty risk.

@mageeclegg Also, we still have relatively strong privacy in our bank accounts. It's been getting slowly eroded by requiring mandatory reporting of certain activities, but nor the government, the police nor the tax service can take a look at your accounts without a court order.

Your money is safer in Chile 🇨🇱 than in the U.S. 🇺🇸 US banks are legally required to hold 0% of your deposits. Seriously… Zero. Nothing. Nada. Major Chilean banks hold nearly 2x what their regulators require… and it’s more than 0%. When U.S. rates spiked in 2023… depositors panicked and pulled their money. Three American banks collapsed. Chile hasn’t lost a single bank to a crisis since 1986. Why? They keep enough money on hand to fulfill withdrawals. Who knew? You have to go to Chile to experience responsible banking.

A friend of mine spent years working in import/export in Mexico before coming home to a valley that produces half of one of Japan's most celebrated teas. The locals had no idea what they were sitting on. He did. I found this valley through a mutual friend who runs Smorgasburg, an outdoor food market across the U.S. We rode motorcycles through the valley together in 2024, when he connected me to the man who is focus of today's little adventure: Shota. About 300 farming families work terraced hillsides in this valley, which has produced tea for over 700 years. The valley is designated one of Japan's Most Beautiful Villages. It sits about an hour from one of Japan's most-visited cities. Yet almost no international tourists come. Shota speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Japanese. He understands both the farming tradition and the international market - which is a rare combination in rural Japan. He's now running valley tours: working-farm access, the history behind the terraces, how the tea is made, how the families live. He introduced me to one farm that's been in the same family for over 300 years. In 1980, the sixth-generation tea master abandoned pesticides. His neighbors thought he'd lost his mind. The farm lost crops for years. He kept going. The family became among the first in Japan to earn JAS organic certification - they now hold USDA and EU credentials too. Their finest matcha goes to auction for Japanese tea houses, a mark typically reserved for the country's top producers. Shota is building something serious. In five years, this valley won't be so quiet anymore. The chance to tour this valley with someone who comes from its culture and history, yet spent time in the west as well - that window is open right now. Go before it closes. 99% of the companies who post products on @amazon now are fake companies. They don't exist. They sell a fake product for a few months, and before all the customers realize it's fake, they delist the product and disappear. 99% of the reviews on Amazon from these fake products are also fake. Item after item I've bought over the past 6 months stops working after minimal use. Amazon refuses to take any responsibility for this, and they will not refund anything for me anymore. Fiat Clown World is on full display here! 🤡🌎 I previously thought Amazon would be dominant forever. However, the path that I see in front of them is not sustainable. This company will fail, and I think it will happen a lot faster than most can believe. I have cancelled my Amazon Prime account and will never use Amazon again. I will be supporting local businesses and I encourage you to do the same!

Keonne Rodriguez is writing from federal prison asking bitcoiners for help. Donate if you can.
Keonne Rodriguez@keonne

I am writing from FPC Morgantown prison in West Virginia. It has been about 5 months since I first surrendered myself in December, and I will be honest, the prospect of a Presidential pardon is very low. There was some hope during the Bitcoin 2026 conference, but that has now come and gone, and one must come to terms with the fact that I am simply a federal prisoner without money, power, or influence, and I will serve my full sentence. It will be years before I can even attempt to rebuild my life. Which is why I am now writing this appeal to you all now. Things are dire and we need your help. Lauren and I need your help desperately. More than ever before. We have over $2 Million of debt due to legal fees. We have a $250k fine the judge levied against us. Every day I get letters and calls from anxious lawyers looking to be paid. Or the DOJ demanding I start making payments on my fine. Perhaps it was denial or delusion, but I had hoped to do what I have always done and dig myself out of this hole myself - but with the reality of serving a full sentence that is not possible. I hate to ask for your help in this way but we are entirely out of options. We need to pay off these legal bills and other debts accrued attempting to defend myself. We desperately need your help. Now. For 10 years Bill and I built and published open source code and tools for Bitcoin users. Those same tools and code are what the government says were criminal. The tools and code still exist, they are out there right now and always will be. The creators however are locked away in Federal prison. The creators are the ones whose lives have been decimated. The creators are the ones who have been financially wiped out. The creators are the ones who desperately need you now. Please donate whatever you can to bc1qtjjcvn98wh7dfd55m8kxhjcfexanttwt8gtan8 . We have to get this albatross from around our neck. Samourai had well over 100,000 users. These users pushed over 2 billion dollars through our open source tools. We need those users and any bitcoiner who appreciates the work that we put into this industry for over a decade to help us now. Please donate whatever you can to bc1qtjjcvn98wh7dfd55m8kxhjcfexanttwt8gtan8 right now. If you require a private address please DM my wife @leamuirleyn and she will provide one. Please do not delay. Time is of the essence. Please help us. - Keonne

People always complain about their hotel's gym during trips. What are you expecting? 30 machines, squat racks, and dumbbells up to 150lbs? Get a week pass at a local gym so you can do real workouts. It's so simple.

I still haven't solved the CO2 bedroom challenge You open the window and you wake up from a 6am garbage truck or barking dogs and sunlight You close it, you suffocate in 1200 ppl at 5am I guess you really need some mini tube in your wall with a vent that opens and closed based on internal CO2 but how do I build that?

You don't need to spray Roundup for "vegetation management." You need goats. Side effects include cuteness, shenanigans, enhanced soil biology, and spontaneous barbeques in cases of excess shenanigans. Utilities should be hiring shepherds not spray planes.
Smokahontas@Smokahontas2024

AEP is spraying Roundup herbicide OVER OUR HOMES while we stand right outside! This is dangerous and toxic. We pay sky-high utility rates every month so AEP Kentucky Power can spray us like weeds with cancer-causing glyphosate pesticides. No consent, no warning just toxic drift landing on our yards, kids, pets, lungs… and now devastating our bees. A close friend and multiple of her neighbors watched their hives collapse after the latest spraying. Bees were dying by the hundreds right at the hive entrances crawling, twitching, and gone within days. Entire colonies wiped out: strong, productive hives that had survived winter, producing honey and pollinating local gardens. Beekeeping isn’t cheap or easy, it costs thousands in equipment, woodenware, feed, mite treatments, and protective gear, plus hundreds of hours of hands-on work every single season tending, inspecting, and harvesting. All that investment and labor destroyed overnight by AEP’s chemical drift. If we let this continue, we’re killing off the pollinators that make our food and flowers possible gardens fail, fruit trees don’t produce, crops suffer, and the whole local ecosystem takes a hit. This is exactly why we must hold AEP and the companies producing these poisons fully accountable. They do NOT deserve immunity. These are costly, cancer-causing chemicals with zero regard for our health or livelihoods. Side effects they don’t want you talking about: • Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma & other cancers in humans • Respiratory damage, headaches, nausea, and neurological issues • Skin/eye irritation that lingers • Hormone disruption & reproductive harm • Mass bee deaths, foragers poisoned in the field, hives collapsing with dead bees piled at entrances, queens failing, entire colonies lost, threatening pollination, honey production, gardens, and our food supply We’re funding our own poisoning and the destruction of local beekeeping while AEP gets a free pass. Demand accountability NOW… no more spraying over homes, no more bee killing drift, no more hiding behind immunity, and no more jacking up our rates for toxic “vegetation management.” Who else in Pikeville or AEP areas is losing hives and seeing dead bees?

@w_s_bitcoin @Bank__28 @_Checkmatey_ @RonStoeferle The "Roaring Twenties" was fueled by easy money on top of a weakened gold standard, not pure hard money. The crash revealed the distortions. Hoover (then FDR) made it "Great" by blocking liquidation: propping up wages/prices, tariffs (Smoot-Hawley), public works & cartelization.
