One week in Network School, Forest City. @ns I want to be honest about what this place actually does to you. Before I came here I knew it was a residency program. Builders, crypto teams, Base ecosystem. I expected a coworking with beds basically. That’s not what this is. Forest City is a ghost city. Built for 700,000 people, maybe 10,000 actually live here. Empty skyscrapers, empty malls, roads with almost no cars. When you land you think - what did I sign up for. Then you walk into the building. The community here is unlike anything I’ve experienced. Everyone is building something real. Nobody is here to network in the cringe sense of the word - people are here to work, eat, train, talk, and repeat. That’s it. The environment naturally filters out everything else. First week I found myself waking up earlier. Eating cleaner - the food here is actually good and you stop defaulting to garbage. Going to the gym because everyone around you is going to the gym. Working longer without it feeling like work. I don’t think I changed my habits. The environment changed them for me. That’s the thing nobody tells you about Network School. It’s not just about the connections or the ecosystem access. It’s about what happens to you when you remove every excuse. No commute. No “I’ll do it tomorrow.” No choice but to be the version of yourself you keep promising. I came here as CMO of Zeus Exchange to push our Base mainnet launch forward. That’s still the mission. But I’m leaving here as something more than that. I already know it after week one. Thank you @base for making this possible. The Base Founders Residency is a real thing - not a marketing event, not a conference with lanyards. A month of actual focus inside one of the most interesting builder communities in Web3. Week 1 almost done. 3 more to go.

Still ride a bike. > From a dirt floor in Jiangsu to the top of the crypto industry in 30 years. > Without a single viral tweet. Without a personal brand strategy. Without hot takes. > Just 30 years of building. > That is the cheat code most people are too impatient to try.

I’ve met people in Dubai who left London, New York, Singapore, Moscow. None of them left because Dubai was perfect. They left because everywhere else stopped making sense. The guy from London got tired of paying 45% tax on every win and watching the city get slower every year. The one from New York couldn’t justify the cost of living for what he was actually getting in return. The one from Singapore felt the walls closing in - great infrastructure, zero soul. None of them came here chasing some dream. They came here running from a reality that stopped adding up. And then something unexpected happened. They built more here in 2 years than they did in the previous 10. Not because Dubai gave them anything special. Because it stopped taking things away. No one is telling you Dubai is paradise. The heat is real. The humidity is real. The distance from home is real. But for a specific type of person - the one who’s done apologizing for wanting more - this city makes more sense than anywhere else on earth. BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD 🇦🇪

Dubai is the safest city on earth. I’ll prove you in 10 seconds. Let me show you the real math of what just happened. Iran fired 1,672 drones and 314 ballistic missiles at the UAE. ~94% of drones intercepted. ~92% of ballistic missiles destroyed. Now the numbers behind that: One Iranian Shahed drone: $20,000-35,000 One Patriot interceptor: $4,000,000 One THAAD interceptor: $12,000,000-15,000,000 The UAE spent an estimated $1.2B just intercepting the drones alone. That’s what it looks like when a country actually prioritizes the safety of its citizens and residents over everything else. 3.5 million people live in Dubai. One of the most targeted cities in the conflict. The air defense ran 24/7 without stopping. Restaurants open. Roads full. Markets running. Life continuing exactly as it was. The UAE is ranked #1 safest country on earth by Numbeo 2025. After the last few weeks - now you know exactly why. 🇦🇪

And before someone comments «but freedom of speech…» 🤓 In 2024 the UK made 13,000+ arrests for online speech. That’s 30+ arrests per day. A man was arrested for posting a meme. A couple was arrested in front of their 9-year-old daughter for criticizing their school in a WhatsApp group. Meanwhile I’m in the UAE - #1 safest country on earth, posting whatever I think, with 200.000+ people watching my tweet. That’s the difference between FUD on X and reality. 🇦🇪

Let me be honest about Dubai. No income tax. Zero. You keep everything you earn. Safest country on earth - Numbeo 2025. Crime index 16. London is 45. Paris is 50. Sun 365 days a year. The city never sleeps. Infrastructure that makes European capitals look like they’re still in 2005. You can build a company in a free zone with 100% foreign ownership and zero corporate tax on most structures. World-class hospitals. Best malls. Restaurants from every corner of the planet. You want a Michelin-starred dinner at midnight - done. Every major crypto exchange, fund, and Web3 company is setting up here. The ecosystem is real. And the people? 200 nationalities living in the same city. Nobody cares where you’re from. Only what you’re building. People ask me why I came back here after the recent situation. The question should be - why would I leave? There is no better city on earth right now for someone who wants to build, earn, and actually live well. That’s not marketing. That’s just the reality of living here. 🇦🇪
