I borrowed my sister's pregnancy pillow to see if it helps me follow doctor's orders and sleep on my side more comfortably (see last post). Abigail thinks it is for her though. PS: ICP = intracranial pressure

@jointdocShields @TheRealTechRN I think refrigerated it would be fine, certainly couldn't tolerate it frozen. Even with a horrible migraine, my pain (all over my body) has been worsened by ice 🧊 😫

@shuntedmdphd Yes! I was an ICU nurse but my mental and physical health just couldn't take it. Like I want to, but my body says no. And so does HR when you need anything. So now I work at home 🏡

I'm realizing more and more every day just how little the majority of doctors know about the realities of living with a disability. Even things technically within their area of "expertise". 1/2

@AshleyGWinter My sister had to plug up and stand in the corner of the bathroom when she needed to pump for my niece 6 years ago. No coverage and completely vulnerable.

Pumping in LA would have been too soon, & the flight was packed & didn't want to do it on the plane, got to St. Louis & didn't see any signs for a pumping room in the airport (plus was exhausted & public restroom grimy), just barely got to hotel in lots of pain. So hard!

@EEEaley @thesavvymd @nursekelsey I do surgery on my dogs toys all the time otherwise we would have cotton everywhere and no toys! Plus its fun to suture

@thesavvymd @nursekelsey Surgery on dolls and stuffed animals is one of my specialties! This was a “port” I made for dolls for our peds outpatient infusion clinic.

Asking for prayers. I am having surgery tomorrow morning and I'm really nervous. Id greatly appreciate anyone who could send up some prayers tonight or in the morning for peace and calming, and a successful surgery and recovery. 🙏🙌

Just in case you don't know.. when you have a prolapse (cervical, bladder, all the things) so far that your cervix is touching your perineum on the inside, attempting to use a tampon on your period Is useless. It sits behind and on top of your cervix. Im 26 it's ridiculous 😒

@EEEaley I told them the kids part is not a factor. And they said because the surgery is not very long lasting basically 10 years id have to have it redone so many time so they wnt to push it. But let's be real. Having it at 27 or 29 is no different
