@SunnySacParks @EndWokeness California is so cooked. And people are voting with their feet by the millions, as Gavin knows. Little Pol Pot here is a big piece of the problem

Article seems balanced, fairly presented, but I’m unclear on this (not treated in the piece): In GA, how likely are whites to vote for black candidates and vice versa — blacks for white candidates?

@R_A_Belcher I fear, given the questionable competence of the Fulton DA’s office - which J Whittaker openly noted, as you point out - these results mean the quality of the bench will suffer as a result of these elections; race seems to have driven the outcomes

Writer leaves out details I think are revealing. Judge Whittaker didn’t just preside over the Young Thug trial. She publicly humiliated the lead prosecutor in a dispute over hearsay evidence. (Rightly, it seemed). Gemini says she “scolded” prosecutors. FWIW

@DOWResponse @SecWar maybe for this very reason, historically military units were comprised of personnel from the same area.

.@SECWAR “The single dumbest phrase in military history was peddled in our Army only a few short years ago. You’ve all heard it — maybe in your first two years at West Point — ‘Our diversity is our strength’... Diversity is NOT our strength. UNITY is our strength... Our strength is our shared purpose. Our strength is our oath to the Constitution. Our embrace of Army Values. The idea of merit. Our mission. Our absolute commitment to Duty, Honor, Country. These are the things that unify us. ‘Send me’ becomes ‘Send us’ because you are ONE fighting force, just as we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD.”

Are we past the time when a substantial minority perpetually excoriated WalMart? The presence of higher income shoppers is revealing.

@carsonkrow Fulton County is what's wrong with Atlanta. Your story is true to an extent, but the lifelong crooked Democrats in Atlanta counting votes became very emboldened in 2020 and outright stole an election with fraudulent mail in votes and machines that were switching votes to Biden.

What happened to Georgia is that Atlanta became what they call “little Hollywood”. They started filming a lot there and elsewhere in GA. We got a ton of blue voters who work in that industry in the city. They want to mess GA up like they did to gorgeous California. They underestimate the stubbornness of southerners, though, We see them now. #gapol

@carsonkrow Plus we pissed away billions of dollars in tax revenue to companies in California like Disney, such a stupid decision. Subsidies suck

Two Georgia Supreme Court candidates broke multiple Georgia rules for judicial candidates. They filed a secret lawsuit before Judge Leslie Abrams Gardner who stopped the complaints' publication. Eleventh Circuit reversed and unsealed everything. Supreme Court denied unanimously.

@Jake_W @JimmySargent65 @ltthompso no way he does. This is precisely the kind of incorrect thinking that left us with Sen Warnock, when Doug Collins should hold that seat today. If Kelly couldn’t do it, no way Dooley can

@JimmySargent65 @ltthompso MAGA voters will find a way to get to the polls anyways. Dooley motivates the higher turnout suburbanites the GOP used to have locked down for support here in GA but who are turned off by Trumpy populism.

@ltthompso Dooley doesn't motivate MAGA voters. I'm afraid Georgia voters have forgotten that anti-Trump Republicans are what got us into this mess to start with.....Jones and Collins, and it's time for Trump to bring in the heavy artillery.......

@ltthompso Unpersuasive. My parents, who have lived in east Ga 80 years, have no clue who Dooley is, and the fact that his dad coached football in 1981 is of no moment

@NilesGApol I think this has more to do with the tens of thousands from Cal, Ill, and NY moving to the area to escape the oppressive, self-destructive policies in those states than anything else

Shapiro’s Gavel--my Substack--began after a “controversial” tweet led to my suspension from Georgetown Law and a four-month “investigation” that reinstated me on a technicality, followed by my resignation because the DEI office’s report made it impossible for me to do the job I was hired for. So it came very much to my surprise just over a year ago when I got a FedEx with a complaint and a summons that accused me of conspiring with Georgetown to deprive the plaintiff of her civil rights (see below). This was the first time I’d ever been sued—and the basis for this suit was another tweet! Here’s what happened: in the fall of 2023, Aneesa Johnson, who had just been hired to be assistant director of academic and faculty affairs at Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS), was suspended and eventually let go after revelations of bigoted and antisemitic social media posts surfaced. (This was in the wake of the October 7 Hamas attacks, when campuses were tinderboxes and university officials, no profiles in courage in the best of times, walked on eggshells.) Johnson then filed a complaint with the EEOC and sued for employment discrimination, alleging that she was treated unfairly because she was black and Muslim. Ok, so more craziness at Georgetown, but where do I come in? Bear with me, because conspiracies must be described in detail... Read the rest here: ilyashapiro.substack.com/p/the-crazy-la…

Thirty years after I graduated, and exactly one month after I assumed the duties and responsibilities as the acting Secretary of the Navy, I got to sign my own son’s commission and speak at his graduation. Only God could have orchestrated this.

Today at the U.S. @NavalAcademy, I saw the next generation of naval officers standing ready to take the watch.   While it is one thing to be told they have what it takes, it is entirely another to look them in the eye as they raise their right hand and swear to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.   Standing before this incredible class, I was overwhelmed with hope. These aren't just the leaders of tomorrow—they represent the unbreakable resolve of our Nation.   Class of 2026: You have the watch!

@Cheryl4labs @bluestein @rpyers Dooley can never beat Ossoff. No one will elect someone with no experience, who never voted, and is a strange johnny-come-lately to politics (and any statesmanship, for that matter). Ossoff will eat him for dinner

Money has poured in on @DerekDooley in past few weeks to win Georgia Republican senate nomination. He’s now favored on Kalshi & a small underdog on Polymarket. Georgia primary is Tuesday. Democrat John Ossoff believes men should be able to play women’s sports. Bad fit for GA.
