CBN Issues N3.5trn OMO Bills to Banks, Foreign Investors. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) issued about ₦3.5 trillion in OMO and Treasury bills to mop up excess liquidity, as system liquidity opened at ₦4.68 trillion. Strong participation from deposit money banks and foreign portfolio investors was driven by an attractive real interest rate of 11.85%, supported by a 27% policy rate against 15.15% inflation. Across both auctions, total subscription reached over ₦4 trillion, reflecting robust demand. Stop rates settled at 19.48% and 19.44% for OMO bills, while the 365-day Treasury bill saw heavy demand, with its stop rate declining by 109 basis points to 15.90%, leading to lower yields across the market.

Why does America wants Greenland? Many people have been asking this question for a longtime. What is the obsession of Trump with Greenland???? Some people think he is erratic but he is not, he is someone preparing for a new world order and a heavyweight battle against Russia, not in the Pacific, not in the Atlantic but in the Artic sea. Russia is almost the undisputed powerhouse and Superpower of the Artic sea with full blown sovereignity claim to Zillions of dollars worth of Mineral resources like oil, gas, rare earth elements, fish resources, and unquantifiable resources that mankind has not touched. USA does not want to take permission from any European country under the banner of NATO collaboration to lay massive claim to huge chunks of the Artic sea territory. There are four oceans in the world, Pacific, Atlantic, Artic and Indian Ocean. America is a Pacific power, an Atlantic power and it wants to be an Artic power. Why is everyone suddenly interested in the Artic? It is because the Artic ice is melting at an alarming rate and this vast ocean is now becoming navigable and explorable which is making this critical resources accessible. With the size of America, if USA gets Greenland, it's it will become the second superpower of the Artic ocean and put America on another path of Global hegemony and power. Greenland is not just a piece of estate, it a continent size golden piece of estate floating on the Artic sea ⛵! It is larger than France, Germany, Spain, UK, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, and Belgium combined. It is the biggest island in the world! America is preparing for the multipolar world 🌎 and it is not ready for E.U bureaucracies to drag her down into the abyss of a second power status. Is it Brutish? Yes, it is! It is old school Geopolitics but it works most of the time. We must study Superpowers and how the vote of a single country is superior than the rest of the world 🌎, in Geopolitics we call it Veto. I’m a fairly frequent flyer (30-50 times a year, flew two times this week already) and I didn’t see it as any big deal until I lost someone close to a plane accident in 2019. Flying has not been the same for me again. Ironically, it was on an international route, but I still have more fear on local route than international route. It’s mostly because I don’t have option. I fear road travel too (I have not traveled by road to anywhere in Nigeria in the past 5 years except to my hometown of Offa which doesn’t have airport).
