That has now ended. Landlords must agree and put a fixed price before advertising a house for rent 🤩🤩🥳 5. no more advance on rent…💸🧾💰 Upfront payments has been abolished so that people who don’t have savings can rent and pay as they earn😜🤓 6. landlords cannot discriminate anymore . When the shipment arrived at Tema Harbour, import duty was first set at GHS 15,000, then later “reduced” to GHS 12,000 almost the value of the goods. Before the rice even left the port, 4 bags were missing. The remaining bags were later sent to the VIP station at Circle Accra for onward delivery and another 2 bags went missing there. Those were eventually paid for by the authorities, but that doesn’t fix the bigger issue. Trying to do honest business in Ghana is extremely difficult. Too many people are looking for ways to take advantage of the system for personal gain, then turn around and blame the government. Some customs officers act with unchecked authority, and it raises a serious question, where is the accountability?
