I was an IC on this team and then a lead and then a manager; I built it from 3 to 10 engineers. I hope I instilled a culture of trust and rigor. It’s heartbreaking to see it undone. Big hugs to every member of team Gizmoduck, those I worked with and those I didn’t. Users matter.

I think I understand why Elon is desperate to get direct contact with engineers. Having observed how curated his interactions with people are, assuming he is smart, he knows most of what is being fed to him is sanitized bullshit.

It’s amusing to poke fun at the hot takes on just how easy it is to run the site, or be distracted by the latest Elon shitpost, but let’s not lose track of the fact that $13B debt added to the balance sheet killed the company way more effectively than firing all the SREs.

@Todd_Segal ZK is by far the best answer. Some cluster is going to lose enough nodes over time that the service relying on it will go belly up. I assume many alerts are effectively unmonitored now.
