What happened to Lagnajita Chakraborty is absolutely condemnable. But turning it into a political tool & repeatedly comparing Bengal with Bangladesh by @BJP4India/@BJP4Bengal is laughable. Mehboob Mullick has no link with @AITCofficial and has been arrested immediately. Bengal is the land of Sri Chaitanya’s love and Nazrul’s Shyama Sangeet — hatred won’t survive here. There’s no place for communalism in Bengal. Democracy is alive here, unlike BJP-ruled states where voices are crushed.

জয়নগর বিধানসভায় হিন্দু দেবদেবীর মূর্তি আবার ভাঙচুর করেছে দুষ্কৃতীরা। এলাকার মানুষরা পথ অবোরোধ করে বিক্ষোভ দেখাতে থাকলে পুলিশ অবরোধকারীদের মরধর করে বলে অভিযোগ। শুধু তাই নয় স্থানীয় পুলিশ প্রশাসন দুষ্কৃতীদের ধরার চেষ্টা না করে এক সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ার কে দিয়ে একটি নতুন মূর্তি এনে সেখানে স্থাপনের চেষ্টা করে।
এভাবে আর কতদিন? মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অপশাসন আর তোষণ নীতির ফল আর কতদিন ভোগ করবে হিন্দুরা। আজ পর্যন্ত এই ধরণের ঘটনায় মমতা প্রশাসন কাউকে ধরে শাস্তির আওতায় আনেনি শুধুমাত্র ভোটের রাজনীতির কারণে।
অবিলম্বে এই তোষণকারী সরকারকে বিদায় দিতে না পারলে হিন্দুদের জন্য আগামীদিন বড়োই ভয়ঙ্কর হতে চলেছে। সকল হিন্দুদের বলব দলমত নির্বিশেষে এক হয়ে এই সরকারের গণতান্ত্রিক পদ্ধতিতে পরিবর্তন ঘটানো আশু প্রয়োজন নচেৎ এই নির্লজ্জ প্রশাসনের ঘুম ভাঙবে না আর হিন্দুদের আস্থার উপর এমন আঘাতের ঘটনা বার বার ঘটবে।

Malicious efforts are being made from certain quarters to draw parallels between the recent murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh and the tragic death of the father-son duo of Haragobindo and Chandan Das in Murshidabad about 8 months back. Such comparisons are highly inciteful, factually misleading, and intended to disturb public order. 13 accused persons were promptly arrested in the Murshidabad case, and a strong chargesheet was filed. Judgment of the case is expected very soon. Drawing parallels with the events in Bangladesh is nothing but a disingenuous attempt to spread communal mistrust where the law is already taking its course.
West Bengal Police is committed to maintain the time-tested traditions of communal harmony in the state and has zero-tolerance towards attempts at disrupting the same. We are monitoring handles spreading provocative misinformation. Legal action will be initiated against those attempting to communalize criminal incidents.
Citizens are requested not to fall for rumours.
