As published by the Board of Peace and the U.S. State Department, the humanitarian activity in the Gaza Strip is managed by the BoP, and this Hamas-led-flotilla is another provocation designed to divert attention from Hamas’s refusal to disarm - and to serve the PR interests of professional provocateurs. The Greek government agreed that the flotilla activists would be disembarked on its shores, and we thank it for that. Saif Abu Keshek, suspected of affiliation with a terrorist organization and Thiago Ávila suspected of illegal activity, will be brought to Israel for questioning. Israel will not allow the breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza.

#FoodSecurity at the @OECD today, a seminar organized by the Israeli Delegation with cooperation of @OECDtrade , and the delegations of #Greece and the #Netherlands: Food security is no longer a distant or abstract concern. It is a pressing and complex global challenge that affects every one of our countries, regardless of geography or level of development. Climate change, geopolitical instability, supply chain disruptions, and population growth are all placing unprecedented pressures on global food systems. **It is a challenge which is perceived not only as humanitarian, but also as a strategic need for economic and social stability**. We had the pleasure of hosting @YuvalLipkin - head of the food security administration in Israel; @RalfBeek - director of food security and agribuisiness in the Netherlands and @AntonisZampelas - president of the Helenic food authority. The OECD was represented by @adaignaciuk from the TAD directorate. Lipkin presented the Israeli program for food security for 2025-2030 and the challenges ahead. From Israel’s perspective, food security is both a necessity and a strategic priority. As a country with limited natural resources and challenging climatic conditions, Israel has long understood the importance of innovation in agriculture and food systems. This is precisely why Israel took the initiative to organize this event. In this context, the OECD plays a uniquely important role. As a platform for cooperation, data-sharing, and policy innovation, it enables us to come together, exchange knowledge, and develop solutions that are both practical and forward-looking. I strongly condemn last night’s (16.3) Iranian terrorist attack on Jerusalem and the holy sites of the three religions in the Old City. Missile debris fell within the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre compound, the Temple Mount, and near the Western Wall. The Iranian terrorist regime is targeting a city of over one million Jews, Muslims, and Christians, endangering both civilians and sacred sites. Launching such attacks during the Muslim holy month at sites sacred to Islam demonstrates clear disregard for anything holy or sacred. These strikes expose that claims against Israel regarding restrictions on Muslim freedom of worship are baseless and serve only to incite tensions. Last week at the @coe, I sat with the Honorary Consul of Israel leaders from across Europe to reflect on a painful reality: the evolution of @antisemitism in 2025. We began in a moment of silence, honoring those lost in the recent terror attack in Sydney. In my remarks, I spoke about the "mask" of modern hatred. Today, antisemitism hides behind AI algorithms and social media feeds, reaching Gen Z with a speed we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer just about old tropes; it’s about a digital war on truth and history. I wanted to be very clear: Antisemitism isn't a "Jewish problem." It is a crack in the foundation of our democracies. When we as leaders choose our words carelessly, we don't just hurt a community—we grant a license to hate. We must hold the line, guided by the @TheIHRA definition of antisemitism. I am deeply grateful to Natacha Hubelé, Guila Kessous, Gabe Scheinmann, and Deputy Ambassador David Nazer for a panel that didn't just discuss problems, but looked for solutions. Seeing @CRIF, @BnaiBrith , and @UEJF in one room gives me hope that we aren't fighting this alone. The fight against antisemitism is, at its core, a fight for the future of our values. Amazing! 🤯 Archaeologists have discovered a 5,000-year-old rock-hewn wine press in the Land of Israel—the oldest firmly dated evidence of wine production! This connects our history in an incredible continuum: from that Bronze Age press to the wine on today's Shabbat table. 🍇🍷 Wine isn't just a drink; it's an integral part of Jewish culture, economy, and rituals for 50 generations. Last month I took an active part in the international vine and wine organization @OIV_int General Assembly and COMEX [the executive committee] meetings, and had the honor of meeting the OIV President, Mrs. Yvette van der Merwe, and the Director General, Mr. John Barker.
