Warm greetings to all Surulerians and everyone at large. First off i want to say a very big thank you to our party leadership and most especially to our President, His Excellency President @officialABAT for allowing all candidates to test their popularity in their respective constituencies. However events that have transpired over the past few weeks within our great party in Surulere should not be! #DOE #Watimagbo #Bibire #Desmondelliot

With the defection of @PeterObi and the consistent complaints of Obidients about character of politicians changing parties, I carefully and patiently waited to hear what the propagandists of Peter Obi on Arise would say. Sadly, @ruffydfire the weeping prophet chose to be quite like a graveyard, because he might be forced to eat his words. whilst the clown @ayomairoese was instead of talking about unstable political characteristics of Obi, chose to make a case for his right to defect. This is the hypocrisy of the media and fake news-ness of propagandists masquerading as neutrals. Shame on Rufai and Ayo

We told you so. The political nomad is on the move again. Ignore all those puerile reasons he gave in these illogical musings, a self-serving letter to his mob. Peter Obi is a politician made of jelly, an opportunistic fellow. He can't fight Atiku or Amaechi for the ticket of ADC. He pursues the easy road, that will only lead him to doom, like in 2023. He always blames the government without doing a soul-searching of himself. Welcome, Peter to the 2027 race.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@Nwafresh @allforeug Monki, how many votes did PO garnered in previous election or was it only the SE that voted for him??? You are pained that Atiku wanted to play poki poki ponki and it failed,we all loose and let Tinubu go on or Atiku steps down and let PO fight it out with Tinubu

Facts are stubborn.. Go and pull out the votes from the entire SE and compare it with just Kano State.. You don't play emotional politics in a democratic system where majority wins the votes. What you do is alliance and strategic positioning.. If Atiku fail to become a president tomorrow, another northerner is in a better position to become the President of Nigeria because of their numbers. Can you say the same for an Igbo man?

DEAR NDI-IGBO —ATIKU ABUBAKAR IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. —THE HAUSA MAN IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. —THE FULANI MAN IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. Peter Obi must understand one clear truth, and that's Ndi-Igbo will not abandon the ADC if he chooses to leave tomorrow. We have made our decision. As a people, we are committed to rallying around the ADC. We will solidify our interests, strengthen our structures, and build a formidable presence within the party. This is not about following any individual. It is about strategic positioning, protecting Igbo interest, and refusing to remain perpetual spectators in Nigerian politics. We have endured enough marginalisation. The time has come for calculated, independent action. Let it be known that ADC is our vehicle now. We are not passengers, we are co-owners and stakeholders. Whoever chooses to board with us is welcome. Whoever decides to alight is free to go. But Ndi-Igbo are staying. We move as one. We stand firm. We build for the long term. #ADCIsOurPlatform #NdiIgboDecide

I still insist.. Why didn’t Bruno make the pass to Mbeumo instead?? He was very clear and would have scored as well. It would have been a big booster for him. Look how isolated Mbeumo has become lately. A shadow of himself! Mbeumo cannot end the season feeling this way please.

In 2019 he was public about it; In 2023 he was hypocritically private about it masquerading as a journalist; meanwhile he has zero training or experience as a journalist. In 2027, he is wickedly pretentious about it. Social media vitriol, hate and revenue is more important to him than national interest. #comeoutofthepoliticalpartisancloset

“It will not be under our watch that the PDP will die through non participation in the general election.” These were my words last night at the @OfficialPDPNig National Convention, and following the successful conduct of the convention, it is clear we matched those words with action. With that clarity, what matters now is what we do next. We must stay focused on reconciliation, strengthen our processes, and build the unity required to win.

ADC 2027: Atiku is My Preferred Candidate, Party Should Zone Ticket To the North - Momodu There's nobody in ADC that can claim ownership of the party. ADC will determine who gets its presidential ticket based on strategy, not at the dictate of one man or woman. My advice to the party is that time isn't on our side. The ADC ticket should go to the part of the country where people are most disgruntled with the APC Dele Momodu, Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress.

Before, I wholeheartedly welcome my brother and my bosom friend, Gov. of Zamfara State, H.E Dauda Lawal to the APC family, let me tell a short story he may not be in a position to say himself: In the run-up to the 2019 elections, Dauda Lawal was in the APC and we (his friends) did ‘EVERYTHING POSSIBLE’ to just secure the ticket for him to run as our candidate for the position of Governor of Zamfara State on the platform of the APC. He was cruelly denied that ticket and unjustly persecuted by rivals. We also rallied behind him to stop those persecutions. His rivals then fought themselves to stupor and we lost all our seats in Zamfara. In 2023, he then quietly left to the PDP, secured the ticket and resoundingly won the gubernatorial election. Today, he makes a triumphal return to the progressive family AS A SITTING GOVERNOR and leader of the Party in Zamfara State. Destiny can be delayed, but not denied. Welcome back home H.E, Governor Dauda Lawal.
