BREAKING: In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court severely weakened the Clean Water Act in Sackett v. EPA. This is a catastrophic loss for water protections across the country and a win for big polluters, putting our communities, public health, and local ecosystems in danger.

Asian clams are an invasive mollusk that can be found in our freshwater habitats and have a relatively thick shell compared to other bivalves. In areas with high populations of the species, these clams outcompete native freshwater mussels for food and space. #dewetlands

While many are familiar with the larger species of the catfish family, Madtoms are very small and are rarely seen. Growing up to 3 inches in length, these vertebrates can easily hide under logs or swim through rocks in freshwater wetlands and habitats. #dewetlands

Wait for it! Cool demo of the fish lifts @ConowingoDam. They separate out the American Shad & River Herring to release them upstream. Invasive fish species are removed and donated to food banks. Everyone else takes a water slide back down into the SusQ River!🐟🛝 @ichthyoAaron
