The “compact concept” of utilising existing infrastructure and facilities offers a sustainable model for the Commonwealth Games which, significantly, will allow more countries to host the tournament in future.

It is disappointing that the Commonwealth Games are now in jeopardy due to falling through in Australia. The UK should work as quickly as possible to find a resolution and protect the Games, which have only been interrupted twice during WWII @spellar. ft.com/content/885861…
