@darlingsrt@teachsci8 Collaboration in a positive light is most likely the best way students to explore more technology and benefit from the experiences of their peers.
Good morning everyone! We are tweeting live today from the CSU Symposium in Fresno, CA. Here is question #4 for our CSUB EDTE 4200 Slow Chat. Please don't forget to tag your instructor & include our hashtags. #csubted#csubedte4200
@Brianna56849339@teachsci8@Duncannedd Agreed, actively exhibiting and celebrating the creations of our students should in turn encourage more to explore how they use apps.
@teachsci8 Q4) To promote children publishing and producing with tech., it is important to have a way that students can show us what they learned. They can use Flipgrid and use PowerPoints/videos/websites that will help them engage in their own learning. @Duncannedd#csubted#csubedte4200
@teachsci8 A4) One way to promote students to produce more with technology is to actively exhibit and praise students' creations made with technology to other students, encouraging student exploration of technology. @Duncannedd#csubted#csubedte4200
@Ststansberry Technology is great to have easy and quick communication between student and teacher. Students can get their grades and results faster and more efficient for the teacher. With a bonus of a little less grading for the teacher if using online quizzes. #CSUBTED#csubedte4200
@AllisonCheatwo1@Ststansberry@Duncannedd Technology definitely bumps up efficiency in communication. Trying to send letters to people across the nation, while novel and fun, takes weeks to actually get a response.
@Ststansberry Without technology, I doubt any effective communication would exist between all parties concerning education. It is imperative to stay "plugged in" to each other as this will enhance learning on a variety of levels! #CSUBTED@Duncannedd
@Ststansberry A3) Technology facilitates collaboration between all entities related to education by allowing for near instantaneous communication between parties regardless of distance. Information can be spread much more readily and easily. @Duncannedd#csubted#csubedte4200
@FlomKatelyn@tom_karnes@Duncannedd I remember visiting Hearst Castle on a field trip back when I was in elementary school. I remember practically zero details of what I witnessed, so to have easy access to the quality cameras most phones have these days would have lead to some beautiful memories.
@tom_karnes A2) My favorite would be the field trip to Hearst Castle we took sophomore year, after we finished reading The Great Gatsby. We did watch the old & new Gatsby movies too, so yes technology was involved & in my opinion in enhanced the story for me. #CSUBTED@Duncannedd
Q2 Welcome to the second night of the CSUB slow twitter chat. Think about the question below and respond with a pithy tweet. Remember to include your instructor's handle and #CSUBTED and/or #csubedte4200
@Jessica98425657@tom_karnes I'm a big fan of outreach where music students from a middle school/high school get to meet and play with the incoming students from nearby elementary/middle school. It potentially keeps more students enrolled in the arts and starts many new friendships.
@tom_karnes A2) My favorite project was going to a school to teach and listen to kids play instruments. Even though it did not have a technological aspect to it. But I have had many projects where Excel, PowerPoint, and word are highly useful. #CSUBTED#csubedte4200
@tom_karnes A2) My favorite memories from school would have to be the performance opportunities I received through music, specifically indoor drumline. Newer technology include apps that can facilitate the process of learning music and drill. @Duncannedd#csubted#csubedte4200
