My reaction 4+ years ago on spat b/w #Somalia & #Kenya. History repeats itself. EVERY Somali MUST be on the RIGHT side of history. Somalia’s territorial unity, sovereignty & political independence is NOT negotiable. @AbiyAhmedAli- come back to your SENSES. It’s never too late!

Good news. I hope the two nations will build upon this good gesture and restore their bilateral relations back to normalcy. Good diplomacy from Sisi. Kudos to Somalia for being sober, objective & mature all along. Glad that Kenya ultimately has read the writings on the wall.

Ethiopia's violation of Somalia's territorial integrity and so-called MOU undermines the international order and violates the principles upheld by IGAD, AU, and UN. #Somalia will not be cowed. It’s also imperative for the international community to stand up against such actions.

Territorial sovereignty is not a gift to be given/taken at will, but a fundamental right that must be respected by all nations. No free pass for diplomatic adventurism & blatant breaching of UN Charter & Article 4 of AU Constitutive Act. A reciprocity is well justified. #Somalia

CONCLUSION OF ICRIC RETREAT: A comprehensive work-plan was developed by ICRIC highlighting the main activities and steps to be taken in finalization of the constitutional review process. It will be part of the Joint Roadmap to be developed by the the three mandated institutions in 1st week of May, IA. The Joint work-plan will be approved after necessary consultations with stakeholders.
