Today, I participated in the APC Presidential Direct Primary at my ward in Ikoyi, Lagos, alongside my dear wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON. Democracy is not sustained by noise, speculation, or borrowed platforms. It is sustained by citizens who show up, party members who believe, institutions that endure, the grassroots, and a political family rooted in the people. The APC remains focused, organised and deeply grounded across Nigeria. Others may gather around grievance. We gather around structure, service, and the work of nation-building. Together, we will continue to renew hope, strengthen our democracy, and build a stronger Nigeria for all. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Federal Republic of Nigeria

Today, I signed Executive Order No 1 of 2026 titled; Executive Order on the Regulation of Associations, Groups and Organisations Offering Security and Allied Services in Oyo State. This Executive Order is designed to ensure that all groups involved in security-related activities operate within a clear legal and operational framework that supports peace, order and the rule of law. In my remarks, I stated that the security agencies are working round the clock to ensure the safe return of the children and teachers kidnapped in Oriire LGA.

PRESS RELEASE RE: KIDNAPPING OF TWO STAFF OF COCOA RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF NIGERIA (CRIN) AND DISCLAIMER ON FALSE REPORTS OF MASS ABDUCTION The Oyo State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that on 19th May, 2026 at about 1800hrs, a distress report was received at Idi-Ayunre Divisional Police Headquarters from the Chief Security Officer of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), reporting the abduction of two staff members of the institution by unidentified armed men who reportedly invaded the premises of the institute and whisked the victims away to an unknown destination. Upon receipt of the report, Police operatives immediately visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment, during which preliminary findings revealed that about six armed men invaded the area before whisking the victims away to an unknown destination. In view of the gravity of the incident and the need for swift intervention, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbemiga, psc, mnips, directed the immediate deployment of tactical and intelligence assets, including operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and apprehension of the perpetrators. Consequently, intensive bush combing and coordinated search operations commenced across the surrounding forested locations linked to the incident. It was during one of such operations on 20th May, 2026 at about 0810hrs that Police operatives encountered and accosted two suspicious individuals identified as Shehu and Abubakar. Upon preliminary interrogation, the duo volunteered to lead the operatives to the hideout of their accomplices. However, while approaching the suspected location, the team came under gunfire attack from armed men believed to be members of the kidnapping syndicate. The operatives responded professionally, repelled the attack and successfully extracted the two suspects, who are currently in custody of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad for further investigation and intelligence exploitation. While these operations are ongoing and yielding actionable leads, the Command has observed with serious concern the circulation of false and misleading reports by certain media outlets and social media platforms alleging another mass abduction in Abanla community and other parts of Ibadan. For the avoidance of doubt, the Oyo State Police Command categorically states that no such incident has been reported anywhere within Ibadan metropolis or its environs apart from the already reported CRIN incident presently receiving robust operational attention. The Command views the dissemination of such unverified and sensational reports as highly irresponsible and capable of creating unnecessary fear, panic and tension among residents. Beyond this, the spread of false information has the tendency to undermine public confidence in ongoing security efforts while equally diverting limited operational and emergency response resources away from genuine security concerns requiring immediate attention. It is against this backdrop that the Command strongly advises media organizations, bloggers and social media influencers to uphold the principles of responsible reportage by verifying security-related information through appropriate channels before publication. The Police remains committed to maintaining a productive relationship with the media; however, such partnership must be guided by accuracy, professionalism and the collective interest of public safety and national security. Meanwhile, the Oyo State Police Command reassures residents that robust security measures have been emplaced across the affected axis and other strategic locations within the State to deny criminal elements any operational foothold. Members of the public are therefore encouraged to remain calm, vigilant and law-abiding while continuing to support the Police and other security agencies with timely and credible information capable of aiding ongoing operations.

APC in disarray and the list is long 📍 Osun — Adeleke vs Oyetola, the rematch nobody asked for 📍 Delta North — Okowa & Nwoko locked in a battle that's getting personal 📍 Imo — Cubana Chief Priest, a die-hard loyalist, SOUNDLY thrashed 📍 Lagos — Desmond Elliot refusing to shift for anybody 😂 This is what happens when you try to run national politics like a Lagos ward meeting. The Jagaban is finding out. In real time. 👀 #NigerianPolitics #APC2027

So you also think surveillance aircrafts will come into the country to a state government hands without approval from relevant agencies? Do you expect Seyi Makinde to say that in such a volatile situation? Did I even say it like the fault is with NSA or any other agencies, cause your people have twisted my statement to be political. Same Seyi said the surveillance aircrafts landed in Lagos port in February when giving updates during the Oyo at 50 events. On the 24th of March, the ONSA released a statement that you cannot operate an ordinary drone without clearance, operating without clearance risks Jail, equipment seizure Every drone flight in Nigerian airspace requires both a permit from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and security clearance from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) to operate and proper security procedures will be done before any approval. The regulation of airspace and national security falls under the exclusive purview of the Federal Government. So I don’t know why people have term it as something else, when I have not nailed the FG or NSA or use it to justify the actions of today. It is well!

For making this political, you are a fool. Oyo state has the highest number of Amoteken operatives in the South-west. Oyo state has the highest number of Amotekun Vehicles and motorcycles in South-west. Oyo state has facilitated ab air-force base in Ibadan and recently got approval for two surveillance aircrafts, now expecting delivery. It is unfair and ridiculous to say the state government has not made significant efforts on matter of security. What is the President and his NSA doing? This is also happening in Kwara, this is happening in Kogi and Ekiti, are you going to blame the governor for that too? The main problem is that Amoteken needs to be armed, same Seyi Makinde has been demanding this arms for Amotelyn but the President and his NSA don't deem it fit for over 5 years.
Àsàmú@CEruobodo

We have a governor who appears less concerned about the worsening security situation in the state. There have been repeated intelligence reports about the presence of armed criminal groups operating within our forests, particularly around the Oke Ogun area and Old Oyo National

@Blacq_Jerry @maryakpa_n @juliet_ifechi When it comes to sugar and calorie content, malt soda is just as bad as Coke. Both drinks are packed with high amounts of added sugars, meaning frequent consumption can lead to similar risks like weight gain, tooth decay, and Type 2 diabetes

My directives today: - Immediate revitalization of the Safe School Initiative across all relevant agencies - Beefed-up intelligence gathering, especially around rural & border schools - Amotekun to strengthen partnership with community peace organisations - Commissioner for Education & Security Adviser to meet and firm up the new plan. To every parent and school authority in Osun State, hear me clearly: We are resolved to secure our pupils across our schools. The existing safe school plan will be strengthened. Your children are safe and our schools are protected.
