I recently returned from visiting several countries in Europe. Everything feels like a cut, copy, and paste with very small differences. In contrast, India is more like a continent than a country. The diversity in terms of languages, food, culture, etc., between the 28 states and within each state is nuts. Every time I think of this, I am amazed at how the country actually came together. I had shared this earlier 👇

People are now finally waking up to the reality that: only a handful of families in India are getting rich. Let me tell you the reason WHY as well: [1] In countries like Singapore/UAE, critical resources are held by the government. Example: Consider Telecomm. SingTel is owned by Temasek Holdings, which is in-turn owned by the Singapore Government [2] In India, money was collected from Taxapyers. BSNL built the infra. Now, "private" players are benefitting and getting rich from this. [3] There is a reason why: most of these private players stick to India. And, find close to 0 success abroad. Because in India losses can be socialised. And, any wins can be privatised. Sorry to tell you the reality: We are a deeply corrupt nation. And, if you are an honest/hardworking/middle class person, you will struggle to live a good life.

CNBCTV18 Newsbreak confirmed. Govt moves amendment to provide relief for real estate under LTCG regime Govt to allow taxpayers to avail either lower rate of 12.5 percent without indexation or higher 20 percent rate with indexation if property acquired prior to July 23, 2024. Relief proposed in respect of taxation of immovable property: In the case of transfer of a long-term capital asset, being land or building or both, by an individual or HuF, which is acquired before the 23rd day of July, 2024, the taxpayer can compute his taxes under the new scheme [@12.5% without indexation] and old scheme [@20% with indexation] and pay such tax which is lower of the two @CNBCTV18News @CNBCTV18Live #BudgetWithCNBCTV18 #BreakingNews
