@Obuchunju If we forego the roads levy on oil, then basically we should be ready to forego the current road constructions or we get this money from somewhere else. Like in VAT on comodities or PAYE. Feels like Rironi Mau Samit road is another reason oil prices is very riveting.

@Obuchunju To expound on her opinion. Our roads get funding from roads levy on oil unlike Uganda and the rest. Even the subsidy in place right now is part of the levies on oil. Can one campare the rate of road construction going on in Kenya with the others for the last 15yrs?

@Obuchunju Alionya is not an oil expert. She is giving her opinion or though through her experiences and Ndu is denying her this. She, like like any other Kenyan has her opinion. Just let her have it. But it cant be a basis for anything apart from discussio/debate. Unless she is an expart.

I have seen some UDA bloggers now pushing for a Ruto Edwin Sifuna ticket. To me, this clearly shows they already know Sifuna has numbers and growing influence across the country. They understand he is becoming a strong political voice, especially among young people and urban voters. But the interesting part is why they are pushing this narrative so hard. It looks more like a political trap than genuine support. They know very well that President Ruto’s image has been badly damaged by the high cost of living, fuel crisis, taxes and growing public anger. So by trying to associate Sifuna with Ruto, they hope to create a bad picture around him and make him lose support from Kenyans who are frustrated with the current government. This is a common political tactic. When you cannot stop someone’s popularity, you try to tie them to an unpopular leader so that people start doubting them. The fact that they are even discussing Sifuna at that level already proves he is being noticed politically.
