Kishin Douji Zenki: Battle Raiden (Hudson Soft/1995) is an action-platformer released exclusively in Japan for the Super Famicom. Based on the popular manga by Yoshihiro Kuroiwa and Kikuhide Tani (specifically the first 3 issues), it was a well-received "tie-in" and one of the 3 Kishin Douji Zenki games released on the system.

Cranking out a big batch of #OpenSFC builds... Several #SNES and #SuperFamicom are in the works. 😎 Then I'm gonna mod them all up and put them to the test 👀 I have some goodies to benchmark on these... 🧐 I'm gonna get data. Lots of raw data. All of those different takes of edge mods out there are going head to head, and we'll check out a new audio mod as well. 🤩 Each host system will be a 1/1/1 SHVC build of OpenSFC so that they all have the chip revisions. Mods: * Torapu/Buttersoft Mod from the Shmups forum * Mike J Moffitt SHVC Video Improvement Kit from @kadenken * @retrosixuk Edge Buster / CleanRGB Combo * @innocuosmuffin 's OSHW SNEdge * Voultar Edge Enhancer * cstomi's Edge Sharpener from eBay * Delphius 's OSHW Super Wave Blaster Audio Mod 6 Video mods and 7 OpenSFC builds. One will remain unmodded, and I'll also throw in an unmodded stock SHVC and a SNESRGB modded SFC Jr. for comparison. I'll gather tons of raw data with the #RT4K and #Morph4K and I have @HDRetrovision SNES Cables, @Insurrection33 's SNES S-Video/SCART and @retrosixuk CleanRGB SCART cables as well to test with as appropriate. I'll also get MDFourier captures for both models of SHVC-SOUND (with and without the anti distortion resistors), with and without the audio balance mod, with and without the metal cage, and also compared to the Super Wave Blaster audio mod. Avermedia GC573 + MOTU M4 will be used for data capture. The data will be compiled and released along with a blind test suite All parts for this coming run of benchmarks were purchased independently with my own funds to do compatibility testing with my boards. No vendor provided me a kit, so I don't owe any favors to anyone that could influence results. As a motherboard vendor, I don't intend to take a stance on any particular mod review wise. I'll simply gather raw data while doing compatibility testing with my boards and you all can make use of the data to make your own decisions, knowing what kind of results you'll get if you choose to build a OpenSFC with a given mod. As OpenSFC is a faithful reproduction, I would also expect the base results to be a valid comparison to stock, but we'll prove whether or not that's true with the stock board versus unmodded OpenSFC 😃 With that said, while I'm finishing up these builds... What would you guys like to see included in the benchmark suite? 🤔 I have a variety of ideas in mind already, but if you have particular games and/or scenes you'd like to see that you believe will illustrate strengths or weaknesses in these mods, let me know. 😛 I will, within reason depending on how many requests there are, try to include them all along with the set I have in mind myself 😄

The PC port of Twilight Princess is near, its being shown playable, and was showcased on stream. It might just be days away from its final release. Twilight Princes Dusk is a native port for PC/Android/Linux/Mac and iOS. We are so close!
