@Sarini44 @climatecouncil We could desalinate sea water to the level to grow crops and trees, thus returning some of the water inland. Not sure which is more cost effective. Even in the west of Scotland, I agree that more clean rainfall should be prevented from flowing directly into the sea.

@DaveThroup @jam21t Not hard. Water companies can allocate capital spend for local treated storage. It's only likely to be required to support distribution systems when they're in danger of not meeting daily demand.

We’ve made it even easier to have an air source heat pump installed in England. The rule requiring planning permission if a heat pump is within one metre of a neighbour's property has been removed.
