If someone (who is not rich or accomplished) thinks they are too good to bring a sandwich for lunch, you CANNOT help or mentor them until that personality issue is addressed.
As a practical matter you just move on to someone else, it's not really possible to address it outside of a custodial or semi-custodial "total shock" environment like boot camp or prison.

I’ve talked before about how a distinct aspect of our current moment is how everyone in the US - even elites - believes that (somehow) the US is against it, and for someone else.
This I believe is a further reflection of this dynamic: the Palestine guy thinks the US is pro genocide, the China maxxer thinks the US should become China, and so forth

The urban core generates almost all of a typical U.S. city's tax revenue but most of it goes to fund roads, sewer lines, power lines et al in suburbs. If suburbs paid for themselves, rather than leaching off the city, I think a lot more people would be live and let live on this.

We are 6 weeks out from 250 years and I’ve seen virtually nothing celebrating the country. No flags. No edits. Nothing.
Brands and films are doing more to celebrate their anniversaries than Americans are to celebrate their country.
This country is now filled with hostile foreigners and liberals that hate everything about it and want it remade in their horrid image.
Celebrating America’s history would do too much to shatter the narrative that “it was never great.”
