HOUSE: Speaker Mike Johnson cut a secret deal letting Democrats veto any GOP amendment. Tim Burchett's amendments to the BUILD America 250 Act were all killed on Democrat objection. Republicans control the House on paper. Democrats control it in practice. This is why Republicans will lose the House - why bother voting if even when they give the GOP the House, Senate, and White House they STILL allow Democrats to govern?

Let me try to explain for the people telling Texan’s who we should elect. Many of us didn’t want to give Cornyn a 3rd or 4th term but had no alternative. Paxton is not perfect, we know that, but he is the first option we have to get Cornyn out and he has been a good AG.

@AnitaMorga6224 I am confident she will. Her connection to her faith and Christ has inspired me to find my way back to the church. I'm a baptist but I haven't attended church regularly in several years.

We visited a lot of schools and I'm fairly convinced that they're all Marxist indoctrination centers. The president of Yale just came from the University of Texas and I think much of UT's leadership is from Yale. It is all one big club and most of us aren't in it - my daughter - is strong in her faith and she is on a righteous path not set by me but by a greater power. I trust her.

There were a bunch. She graduated magna cum laude and won several scholarships. She was president of the band, youth in government, was a representative to Girl's State, National Merit Scholar, played lacrosse... She was inspired some amazing women including my grandmother, my mom, her mother, and her godmother - she told me her goals when she started her freshman year - audacious goals - and we talked about what it would take to reach them - she's well on her way. Thank you!
